Connect a project
Click Add to Slack, or open Project settings → Integrations → Slack in Rankfender. Choose the project and the channel for alerts.

Rankfender matches each Slack user to their Rankfender account by email. People without access to the project see nothing from it.

Alerts and the brief arrive on their own. Ask questions any time. Long jobs, like writing an article, post their result in the same conversation.

Your data stays yours
Rankfender keeps only what it needs to reply in the right place.
- Your Slack conversations are not stored. Context is read live from Slack when Rankfender answers.
- We keep Slack identifiers (workspace, channel, thread, timestamps) and the Slack ID and email of matched Rankfender users, until the app is removed.
- Slack data is never used to train AI models. Rankfender never emails Slack users.
- Data is stored with Supabase in the EU (Ireland).
AI answers can be wrong
Answers in Slack are generated by AI models (Claude by Anthropic, or Z.ai GLM) and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Check important numbers in Rankfender before acting. Rankfender never runs an action without your Confirm.

Yes for alerts, the morning brief, buttons and /rankfender. Chatting with the agent in a direct message or in the agent panel needs a paid Slack plan.
Who can see project information in Slack?
Alerts go only to the channel chosen at install. Answers go only to the person who asked. Rankfender checks that person’s access to the project every time.
Why does Rankfender say it doesn’t know me?
Your Slack email must match the email of your Rankfender account. Use the same email in both, or ask the project owner to invite your Slack email.
Can Rankfender act on its own?
No. Writing an article, running a site audit, an AI visibility check or a report always waits for your Confirm. Approvals need a click from someone with edit rights.
Which AI models answer?
Claude Haiku 5.5 by Anthropic for Pro, Business and Enterprise. Z.ai GLM (Zhipu AI, processed in China) answers only when Claude is unavailable. Details are in the privacy policy.
Does Rankfender store my Slack messages?
No. Questions and answers are not saved. For a follow-up, Rankfender reads your recent messages with it live from Slack. A question asked before you pick a project is held only until you pick it.
How do I remove it?
Disconnect in Project settings → Integrations, or remove the app in Slack (Workspace settings → Manage apps). Rankfender then deletes the workspace’s tokens, Slack user links and conversation metadata.
